Em's Soaps
Em's soaps has been built up gradually since 2006, but Emma first started making soap in 1977 when she was in Australia whilst working on a herb farm in Victoria. Her passion for working with the herbs led her to explore making soap and to using beautiful essential oils. She has refined her soap to evoke a unique, all round experience through touch and scent while all importantly tending to the delicate needs of your skin. They are beautifully mild, kind and gentle and are like a fine wine, to be savoured and enjoyed. Emma uses small batch production and applies the greatest care. Only when the soap is perfectly cured it is hand wrapped and available for purchase.

Ikebana Vases
Georgetown Pottery has been handcrafting fine porcelain pottery since 1972. All the handmade vases are hand decorated with Maine (USA) themed brushwork patterns and stunning glazes. We are the only European company that they export to.
The vases are designed to be simple, graceful, and elegant. Not only do the flowers look great in all of the different ikebana vases, but they also help to extend the life of your arrangements. Often fresh flowers will live for over 3 weeks. Each ikebana vase has a pin frog attached to the bottom. The pin frog pierces the stem of the flowers and allows water to be absorbed by the flowers much longer than in any traditional vase. They are the perfect size for coffee, kitchen or end tables in fact they are great in any room of the house.

Elizabeth Parker - Glass Bead Maker
Liz trained as a silversmith, but for years she has worked as a freelance jeweller, using mainly silver as my medium. Becoming bored with the colour limitation of silver, she experimented with lots of materials to use with silver and finally found glass was what she was searching for. The limitless colours fascinated her and for the last 10 years the focus of her work has been glass, with silver to set it off.
Liz likes to make up her own designs for jewellery with the glass, as she visualize the finished piece whilst making the component beads. She tends to work to themes, building up a collection around an idea - then change tack as new visual stimuli inspire her!

Devon Fine Fibres
To be graded as cashmere the undercoat of the Cashmere goat must be finer than 18.5 microns. All the fibre has been graded at less than 15 microns and is equivalent to Fine Inner Mongolian cashmere. Devon Fine Fibres are committed to quality in their breeding flock and fibre test every young goat when it reaches maturity. Unlike mohair and wool cashmere fibre quality deteriorates only marginally with age and they have animals of 7 producing fibre as good as a 1 year old!
Cashmere is combed in the spring by hand - a labour intensive job! The goats don't mind and often nod off on the combing stand. It's also a good opportunity to give them a thorough health check. The fibre is then washed and dehaired to remove the long coarse guard hairs which form the outer part of the coat. It is then separate into three colours for processing and spinning. White, Ecru and Dark.
